The Secret of Happiness - 7 Steps

The look for excellence might really well be the biggest barrier to happiness. Exactly what is it that makes us wish to be "ideal"? Better asked, why do we think we aren"t?
Webster’s dictionary specifies the word "ideal" as follows:.
- Doing not have nothing necessary to the whole: total of its nature or kind.
- Being in a state of undiminished or highest quality: FLAWLESS.
As a "wordsmith", it often takes place that I hang around with the dictionary on my desk, open and prepared for my curiosity. I love words. I specifically like the art of eloquence. Many of all, I am a stickler for utilizing the appropriate words to state exactly what I indicate. And in this case, the word "ideal" is one that has actually been nagging me for a while. I question if it’s truly possible. FLAWLESS? Exists really such a thing as flawless? A snowflake perhaps? Or a manufactured diamond? Real diamonds constantly have defects. Constantly. Even the very best of the best have some flaw someplace. So, if excellence has to do with being flawless, is it realistic to believe that any Being could potentially attain such a thing? Here’s where the fun starts.
There are many approaches that declare we are all extensions of God. God is best. We are extensions. Therefore, we are ideal. Makes good sense to me. That is, naturally, if you happen to believe we are extensions of this ideal God. The opposite of the coin is that we come right here, in this human form, to learn whatever our souls have to find out in order to attain excellence. We have to keep coming back, over and over, till we get it right. And just then, can we live blissfully ever after in some state of heavenly perfection. Hmmmmm.
What’s that once more?
When you believe about perfection, what comes to mind? Is it something you’ve ever actually seen? Have you experienced an ideal anything? How about a newborn infant? Or a sunset? Or the moon on your child’s face as she goes to sleep? An ideal day? The perfect kiss? An ideal fit? The ideal margarita? Or a rose when it very first blooms? Excellence is all around us. I expect it actually simply depends on one’s viewpoint.
I believe that genuine excellence lies in acceptance of exactly what is. It lies in your ability to know, without concern, that each and every single thing, be it a person or an animal or a flower or a thought ... everything is perfection if you have the ability to comprehend that we’re all One. There is nothing that is not linked to Source. Nothing. With this knowing comes the understanding that excellence is currently right here. So, if your legs are "too short" or your nose is "too big" or your stomach is "too fat", then what is it you’re comparing those things to? What is it in us that makes us compare at all? Why is it that even the most gorgeous individuals aren’t pleased with exactly what they see?
Near I can tell, what we "see" is truly a reflection of what we feel. If we feel excellent about who we are (inside!), then it’s likely that when we search in a mirror, we’ll like that too. If, on the other hand, we’re not delighted about who we are, then the image that looks back at us is going to be unsightly. Ask anyone you know who is happy with themselves and they’ll inform you the exact same. Excellence is an inside task. It’s not a myth. It’s possible. It’s absolutely possible ... or rather, it is already exactly what we are. We, as human Beings, have everything "crucial to the entire". Which, my pal, is exactly what excellence is all about.
